Threads, now a podcast.

Read Reddit comments out loud, the whole thread.

ThreadCast reads the post and the full comment thread aloud, and gives every commenter their own voice, so a 200-reply chain plays back like a conversation. Private, offline, no account.

How it reads a whole thread

Post first, then every comment, each in its own voice.

  1. 1

    Open any Reddit thread

Any subreddit, any post, on your phone or in the browser. Nothing to copy, paste, or set up.

  2. 2

It reads the post, then the comments

ThreadCast reads the post body first, then the comments in thread order, with nested replies kept attributed to whoever wrote them.

  3. 3

    Every commenter gets a voice

Each username maps to its own consistent voice, so you can follow who is speaking by ear instead of arrowing through every comment.

Multi-voice narration

Follow a comment chain by ear.

The trouble with most text-to-speech is that a 40-comment thread reads in one flat voice, and the thing that makes Reddit good, a bunch of different people talking, disappears. ThreadCast gives the original poster and each commenter a distinct, consistent voice, so you always know who is speaking without looking.

You can pin a specific voice to a specific user, adjust speed and pitch, and choose to read the whole thread or just the comments. It is the difference between hearing a thread and listening to a conversation.

Made for long comment threads

The threads that are too long to read are exactly the ones worth listening to.

  • On a commute

Hear a long AskReddit or advice thread end to end while you drive, walk, or ride, with the screen off and lock-screen controls.

  • Eyes-free and screen-reader friendly

For anyone who reads with their ears, the Android app ships full TalkBack support and turns dense comment chains into clear spoken audio.

  • Winding down

Queue a thread, slow the narration over an ambient soundscape, and let a fade timer ease the comments to silence on a dark screen.

Reading Reddit comments aloud, answered

Can ThreadCast read Reddit comments out loud, not just the post?

Yes. ThreadCast reads the post body first, then the full comment thread in order. You choose how many comments deep to go, and nested replies stay attributed to their author.

Why does each commenter sound different?

ThreadCast hashes each username to a consistent voice, so the same person always sounds the same across threads. A long comment chain plays back like a real conversation between different people instead of one flat monotone.

Is it free to read Reddit comments aloud?

Yes. The core flow is free with no account: System voices, a voice per commenter, an unlimited queue with full comment threads, and sleep mode. On-device AI neural voices are an optional Premium upgrade.

Does it work offline?

Yes. On Android, queued posts and their comment threads cache on your device, and once an on-device voice is installed it synthesizes with no connection, so playback keeps going with no signal.

Where do the comments come from?

ThreadCast reads what is already public on Reddit and synthesizes the audio on your device. There is no account, no login, and nothing you listen to leaves your device.
