The ThreadCast roadmap
How we charge: the Chrome extension is fully free: every voice engine, every feature. The mobile apps have a free tier (System voices, sleep mode with 10 ambient sounds + custom soundtrack, unlimited queue, comments, author-aware narration, offline queue). An upcoming Premium tier (launching with v1.2.0 on Android) adds local AI neural voices, MP3 audio export, and, across later releases, subreddit auto-curation, cloud sync of your queue and preferences, offline prefetch, and on-device voice cloning.

Planned · Premium expansion, iOS, and beyond Reddit
Beyond the launch, ThreadCast Premium grows in themed steps. The order can flex based on what subscribers ask for, and iOS arrives once cloud sync lands so your queue follows you to a new platform instead of starting from zero.
- Smarter queues · subreddit auto-curation · offline prefetch · listen history · per-subreddit rules
- Sync across devices · your queue, preferences, and history (never your audio)
- iOS · ThreadCast on iPhone and iPad, with CarPlay and Shortcuts
- More voices and audio · on-device voice cloning · premium ambient packs
- Beyond Reddit · read pasted text and PDFs · TL;DR thread summaries · live-thread mode
- Deeper Reddit integration · optional sign-in for upvote, comment, and saved-post sync
